How to make an extraordinary banner for your youtube channel- step by step guide!

 

Do you want to make an extraordinary banner for your YouTube channel? If yes… this article is for you!

Having a mesmerizing banner beautifies your channel! So, in this article, I’ll be telling you step by step on Canva.

Canva is really easy to use and you can make outstanding designs with it!

Let’s get started, immediately!

Preparation:

We need a template for our banner.

To do this, firstly, search ‘YouTube banner template’

Now choose an image and download it. You can also download my template for free (get it at the end of the article)!

The reason for downloading this template is that to make sure our banner will be visible to our viewers.

Now we’re done with the preparation. On to the first step!

 

Step 1: Making the Banner

Next, go to canva.com and, in custom size, type in 2560 by 1440 px.

Now you are going to create the design!

You should upload the image you downloaded earlier into the ‘Uploads’ tab. We’ll need it.

We’re going to make the banner using the templates Canva has in the ‘Templates’ tab. Choose the template you want for your banner. Drag the chosen template onto your blank project.

Go back to the ‘Uploads’ tab and drag the image you’ve just uploaded on the background of the template.

Now you can adjust the elements and edit the text to your preference.

Once you’re done, select the background image and press the ‘Delete’ button on the keyboard.

The banner is ready to be downloaded!

Step 2: Downloading Your Banner

Once you’re happy with your banner, it is time to download it!

So to do this, you should click the file button on the upper left corner of your screen.

You must find a dropdown. Scroll down and then click the button which says ‘download’.

You can now choose the file type for your banner (e.g. PNG or JPEG). Once you’re done, select download.

Voilà! You have just finished creating your own attractive banner!

Hooray! You’ve just made an awesome banner using Canva! The best part about it is that it is absolutely free without any annoying watermarks (though some features are for Canva Pro users only or you have to pay money to use it!).
